Mary and Laura magazine

Mary and Laura is a monthly e-magazine aimed at Christian homeschooling familes with daughters aged 5 - 10 years. 

It's primary purpose is to assist families in their endeavours to raise their daughters for the glory of God. I hope it will also be a way through which girls around the world can connect with each other. I believe it helps our children to know that even though there may not be other like-minded families living close by, there are many other girls just like them all over the world.

The title “Mary and Laura” comes from the “Little House on the Prairie” books by Laura Ingalls Wilder. Whenever our girls Jessica and Liesl decide to play something  even remotely old-fashioned, they say they are playing “Mary and Laura”. Penny at 2, gets to play “Carrie” of course and their baby sister Gretchen will most likely end up playing “Grace”. Who knows what they’ll come up with for the game if God chooses to bless us with more daughters!

As the magazine grows, each issue will be packed full of all kinds of stories, crafts, recipes, missionary news and fun ideas for mothers, daughters and sisters to do at home, enjoying old-fashioned fun together. Check out our free sample issues for an overview of the content to be found in each issue of the full magazine which is emailed out to our paying subscribers each month.

Most of all we want to give your girls ideas and encouragement that will help them to learn to follow Jesus, honor their parents, bless their families and those around them and have lots of fun.

We would also like to bless missionary families living and working full time on the mission field, with a free on-going subscription to thank you for the ministry for which you so willingly make many sacrifices.
